This full Peruvian Accoyo male was a must have for our breeding program with such an uncommon pedigree in the industry.  Contraband's full Peruvian, half Accoyo dam, Alexis, is a daughter of 6Peruvian Accoyo Anton.  She is a multiple blue ribbon female, herself, with an elite fleece. 

Contraband's sire, full Accoyo Pepe, noted for his super-fine fleece and top shelf, almost all-female offspring, is a PPeruvian Vengador son.  This is a rare bloodline as famed Vengador is one of only two males in the U.S. sired by Don Julio Barreda's famous Accoyo stud Shere Kahn, who sold for a whopping $175,000 back in 1988.

Vengador, himself, sold for well over $100,000 in his teens. Another PPeruvian Vengador son, Peruvian El Senor just sold in 2006 for $165,000.

This male will certainly be worth the wait. He is already exhibiting unique fleece characteristics: tiny multiple crimps per inch, (difficult to capture on film), great staple length and an unusual accordian look to his fleece with vertical crack lines.

There has been research and articles written about "pink" fiber and it has been found to be an indicator of a high secondary follicle ratio and hyper-density. The color is caused by minerals trapped in the fiber.
