Chimborazo takes after his namesake, a large mountain peak in the Andes. This is a large, big-boned male. All of our Peruvian Granite cria, LWF Castanets & LWF Black Veil, his black sisters, and SH Whisper, have been that way. What makes Chim unusual is he is showing a lot of crimp style in a gray so young. He has no spots in his fleece. We are really looking forward to shearing day.
Chim has his sire's great pedigree with Accoyo Royal Fawn and 4Peruvian black Matador and his dam's colorful genetics as well with Silversmith and Karrington, her sire, also a rosegray. This is an immensely colorful heritage on both sides.
Lilac Rose, his dam, is a great Little Wing production female. She has given us five cria, three girls. The first girl, Rhapsody, is a dark silver gray and is in our foundation. The other two girls, Sequoia and Chim's full sister, LWF Castanets, sold before they were breeding age. Lilac Rose's cria's colors range from silver gray, black and white when bred to white. She is a trouble free birther and a big milker, which is so important when considering a son as a stud male. And Lilac Rose is very nice to handle.
